Cape Town Festival of Beer to feature a smorgasbord of culinary options
The Cape Town Festival of Beer, which takes place from December 1-3 at Hamilton’s Rugby Club, will feature the largest variety of beers in the southern hemisphere but will also harbour a delectable bevy of food options.
The Cape Town Festival of Beer crowd can match their IPAs with their burgers, or their pizzas with their amber ales, as an array of international cuisines including Mexican, Japanese, Italian, American, German and of course, biltong will be provided by the expert chefs and cooks from their food trucks.
The confirmed entrée artists at the festival will be Dos Chido, Finest Sausage, Hudsons, Kitchen Cowboys, Love Pizza, Manga, Southern Smoke, Las Paletas Ice Cream, Truck Norris and Wicked Waffles.
Craig Glutz, from Southern Smoke, believes that some Southern inspired cuisine goes perfectly with a good beer.
“We are looking forward to being part of the Cape Town Festival of Beer for the second year! The festivalgoers should be really excited for drinking beer and eating our pulled pork buns or BBQ wings.”
Paul Morton, from Dos Chido, explained that their love of using beer to make their Mexican-inspired delicacies and the vibe of the festival makes it such an awesome occasion for them.
“The Cape Town Festival of Beer is an amazing event! It’s on our calendar as one of the few events we really look forward to doing again. Well organised, great bunch of people organising it and above all a fantastic selection of beers. We’ve tried cooking with a lot of them: stouts, lagers, IPAs - we’ve even cooked our pork in tequila before and as you can imagine it was epic!”
